Thanks Larry … nobody talks about the outdated revenue model the industry uses. The full service IA model where fees gets skimmed regularly makes no sense. Investing is very much a commodity now and as such, I should be able to simply hire whatever professional advice I need – accountant, lawyer, financial planning. etc. And like all other professional services, I pay a fixed fee for the services I need. It should not turn into an annuity payment for them!
This is too important to simply abdicate responsibility to someone who uses the agency relationship to enrich themselves.

Thanks for your comment Bob. Thankfully there is an ability to only pay when and if you want services. But some people want the support and comfort of ongoing advice. The problem is, most are being charged way too much for it.
